I founded Atelier Français so that every student gets French made to measure, and learns to enjoy it.

FAQ

Questions parents ask.

Are lessons online or in person?

Both. In-person lessons are available in the Haliburton Highlands and Lakelands area. Online lessons run by video call for students anywhere in Ontario.

Which grades do you teach?

Mainly Grades 1–12 in French Immersion and Core French. I also work with university students and adults.

How long is a lesson?

Most lessons are 60 minutes. 30 and 45-minute lessons work well for younger students or shorter attention spans.

How do packages work?

A package is a set of 10 weekly lessons paid upfront at a lower rate per lesson. Your student keeps the same weekly time slot for the whole package.

Do you help with the DELF exam?

Yes. While studying in France, I trained in the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference), the scale the DELF is built on. I offer practice in all four parts of the exam: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed, are charged in full, except in a genuine emergency.

How do parents receive updates?

After lessons, parents can get a short email covering what we worked on, how it went, and the practice for the week.

Do you offer anything beyond tutoring?

Yes. I also offer parent consultations, learning assessments, French for professionals and French presenting. See Beyond the lesson or send a message.
